Data Policy

This Data Policy describes how CitizenBD collects, uses, stores, protects, and retains the personal data of its users. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Data We Collect
We collect account information (name, mobile number, email, NID), service-specific documents, payment records, and technical data such as device type and IP address.
2. Purpose of Processing
Data is processed only to (a) create and secure user accounts, (b) submit service applications to the appropriate authority, (c) process payments, and (d) improve the platform.
3. Storage & Security
Data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure. Sensitive documents (NID, passport, certificates) are held in a restricted vault with audit logging.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with the relevant government authority to process an application, and with payment partners to complete a transaction. We never sell citizen data.
5. Retention
Application data is retained for the period required by the concerned authority and by law. Users may request deletion of non-mandatory data at any time.
6. User Rights
Users can access, correct, download, or request deletion of their personal data by writing to scsbd.official@gmail.com.
7. Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects citizen data, we will notify affected users and the concerned authority within the timelines required by law.
