Document Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Documents you upload to CitizenBD are used only to process the service you request. This policy explains what documents we ask for, your responsibility as the owner of those documents, and how we secure and retain them.
1. Required Documents
Each service lists the required documents on its service page. Applications submitted without the required documents cannot be processed and may be returned for correction.
2. User Responsibility
- You must upload documents that legally belong to you or that you are authorised to submit.
- Documents must be clear, readable, up-to-date and unedited.
- Providing fake, tampered or misleading documents may lead to rejection, suspension and reporting to the relevant authority.
3. Accepted Formats
PDF, JPG and PNG files are accepted. Each file should be within the platform's per-file size limit shown on the upload screen.
4. Data Security
Uploaded documents are stored in encrypted storage. Access is restricted to the account owner and the assigned officer handling the application, and every access is logged.
5. Retention & Deletion
Documents are retained for the period required to deliver the service and to comply with applicable law. You may request deletion of non-mandatory records from your account by contacting support.
6. Sharing
Documents are shared only with the authority that issues the requested service, and only to the extent required by that authority.
